Captivation

Trail running has captivated me recently.
The distance of the races.
The sounds.
The isolation.
The company of the woods.
It's been hard for me recently to get out there as much as I'd like to.
Washingtons winters are notoriously soggy and awful.
Maybe that's just an excuse, I don't know, but I'm gonna get out there more.
And this summer is going to be epic.
I am particularly excited about the White River 50 Mile Endurance Run.
That will be my ultra debut.
Unless we want to count the capitol peaks mega fat ass 34 miler on saturday.
Or Orcas Island 50K in February.
I guess those would technically be my ultra debut, but there's something that sounds much more satisfying about 50 miles.
Am I a trail runner now?
